tonight, burns and i went to coolidge corner to see 2001:a space odyssey. i had never seen it before. it was absolutely brilliant on the big screen. i almost cried the whole time, i was so confused and scared and awed at the same time.
prior to the showing of the film, Marvin Minsky, who is a professor at MIT and does research with AI things, gave a little talk about working with Kubrick in the planning of the film. he was hilarious and endearing and small and old. i probably want to date him.
they gave out free space ice cream as a yummy treat... and adults love it too!c.
